23 – 30 March
Wild Orchids of Pelion watercolour and pencil course (using photography as well as visual notes)
This course will include a visit to the Pelion Orchid Centre where 54 species of local orchids have been identified. In addition there will be short walks to locate orchids in situ. This course is proving popular so early booking is advised. Participants will have the option to stay on over the Easter holiday (non Orthodox).

16 to 21 June
A second, slightly shorter, painting course will feature the Flora Graeca which has been an inspiration for many botanical artists since its publication in the 18th century. The course will also be taught in Greek for those without an adequate command of English. It is hoped that bringing Greek and foreign participants together will add to the understanding and appreciation of the huge variety of Greek flora.

28 September to 05 October
The popular autumnal Fruits, Seeds and Pods course These dates will make the most of the late-summer sun and the still-warm seas of South Pelion. As with the previous two courses, local excursions form an integral part of the course.

Maggie was brought up in Africa and exposed to the many vivid colours and forms which would have a lasting effect and influence on her artistic career. She has taught watercolours and painting in Athens and Cyprus. Currently she lives in London where she has developed her expertise in botanical illustration earning a diploma from the Society of Botanical Illustration in 2007. Her 35 years of living in Greece and Cyprus has given her a deep appreciation of mediterranean plants and flowers.

06 to 13 July

The first edition was held in October 2017 and deemed to be a great success. Course members ranged from the very experienced to absolute beginners and the work produced was outstanding. The 2018 course will take place in early July. Our ‘atelier’ is cool and classes will be held after breakfast until 13.00 to 13.30 and again in the early evening before dinner on the terrace.
The pool will be available or participants can swim in the nearby sea. Helen trained in mosaics with Greek master craftsmen in he UNESCO World Heritage city of Thessaloniki and spent more than a decade immersed in the medium, teaching, writing and selling her work.
